Nigerian Dwarf

Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are the stars of the farm! These small, friendly friends are loved for their sweet, creamy milk and gentle hearts, bringing so much joy and play to our daily lives. Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for being exceptionally gentle, affectionate, and intelligent. Because of their calm and playful nature, they make excellent companions for families, children, and the elderly. Their miniature size makes them much easier to handle than full-sized breeds.

Nubian

Our Nubians are known for their big, floppy ears and friendly nature. In General, Nubian goats are highly affectionate, curious, and people-oriented, famously bonding with their handlers. While incredibly sweet, they are notorious for being vocal. If they want attention, food, or are dissatisfied with their routine, they will not hesitate to voice their complaints loudly.

Lamancha

What looks like a lack of ears is made up for in personality! LaMancha goats are widely celebrated for having an exceptionally calm, affectionate, and people-oriented temperament. Known to be among the easiest and most cooperative dairy breeds to handle and milk, they are highly intelligent, curious, and eager to please.

The Rhythm of Farm Life

As soon as the morning sun begins to glow over the ridge, the whole farm comes alive with the sound of the gang waking up and eager for their daily trek. Life at Sloan Farms follows the slow, beautiful rhythm of the land. Our goats spend every waking moment just enjoying the freedom of being goats—they spend hours exploring the rolling hills, nibbling on sweet wild clover, and finding the perfect sunny spots to lounge in the tall grass. It’s a peaceful, busy life, and we truly believe that this natural way of doing things is the secret behind why our milk and cheeses feel so special. Seeing them thrive in the fresh air, surrounded by family, makes all the hard work worth it, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
